Because xkcd.com drew this comic,
some guys gave Richard Stallman a katana. His response? “I am not sure what to do with it, other then keep it near my bed.”
Lee’s blog! Yayyyy

If you guys wanted to do the TV survey but couldn’t, or you want to do more, you should go to the focus group website. http://www.focusgroup.com/NewSplash/default.asp
I’m going to do the TV survey next week, and so I’ll let you know how it goes.
For some reason, this analogy for gene mutation keeps coming into my head.
Mutations are like you as a little kid and you decide not to shower. All of a sudden, you realize that girls are avoiding you. “Huh,” you realize, “Because I didn’t shower, I am not going to get cooties. Nifty.”
Genes happen by chance and are usually disadvantageous, but sometimes you find out that the alteration that you life has aquired somehow benefits you. You decide to keep this mutation and not shower anymore.
Of course, later on in life, you might have to shower to get that special girl so that you can pass along your genes, but that’s outside the scope of this analogy…
P.S. If you are a female who is reading this, you can switch the word “girls” for “boys.”
Here, here:
Please pay attention to how you can earn $65 for watching tv for a focus group. My dad gave me the link from his focus group, so it’s legit. http://www.focusgroup.com/tv
Enjoy!
Have you guys seen Will Ferril’s short movie? I thought it was hilarious!!
http://sjl.funnyordie.com/v1/view_video.php?viewkey=3efbc24c7d2583be6925
I couldn’t embed the movie into my blog because it played on its own, and having sound play on a webpage automatically is a big Internet no-no. Of course, I’ve toyed with the idea of having the Zelda “secret” sound effect play whenever you get to my website.
NO LEE, BAD!! No automatic sounds on your site!
Everything is kind of jumbled together in my head
For those of you who haven’t heard, Virginia Tech had the worst college shooting in history early this morning around 7am.
(CNN) — A lone gunman is dead after police said he killed at least 21 people Monday during twin shootings on the Virginia Tech campus — the deadliest school attacks in U.S. history.
“Some victims were shot in a classroom,” university police Chief Wendell Flinchum said during a news conference in Blacksburg.
Jeff’s ok. I just talked to him on the phone, and he told me that the police had the students locked down in the basement while they secured the campus. He and his friends are still missing one of their friends though
The last few weeks have been havok (this shooting incident hasn’t helped AT ALL) and I’m sorry if I’ve been impatient or nontalkative around you… it’s not your fault, and it should be all over in a few more weeks.
I grabbed a new blog theme… what do you think? Not that I’m a mac fanatic, but it seems more organized to me now.
I finally decided what the awesomeness was all about with printer ink refills, so I bought a couple. They’re less than half the cost, so I got two of them!
Fortunately, I stole a couple of pairs of gloves from work so that I wouldn’t get ink all over my hands. As a sidenote, if you are someone from work, especially my boss, I am planning on giving the bio department back some money for these gloves.
Anyway, refilling ink is like the messiest thing out there. It involves a syringe of ink, your old cartridge, and fifty thousand paper towels to clean up the mess. The ink got everywhere but the gloves and paper pretty much helped. I wish I took pictures for this too. Too bad I didn’t want to risk my camera in the process.
In the end, I would probably not try this again. Anyone else want it? It’s good for lexmark/dell, compaq, samsung, sharp, and TG printers.
I don’t normally watch music videos, but this video was the shit when I was a freshman at Oxford. I just came across it again.
I’ve realized that I am becoming afraid of wearing the same clothes in front of my classes from week to week. My classes would see that my clothes are the same from 7 days earlier and think that I don’t change clothes or something.
It’s an irrational fear because of course I am sometimes going to have the same clothes 7 days apart.
In high school, we used to have a physics teacher that didn’t really teach us and that we would make fun of. Someone took it to new heights by creating a book of all the things he wore over the entire year. You could read it and find his common clothes and his rare clothes, and even a drawing off all the different ties he wore.
Last year I had a horrible teacher who wore the same sweatpants everyday for a month at a time, and we totally made fun of him because we knew he didn’t really change his clothes.
I can’t wait for it!!
I put up a new album with Cady’s bday. Fabulous time.
I put a comments system into the caption game. This might make it more fun for everyone.
