Demetri Martin

I found this awesome guy while browsing the Daily Show website, Demetri Martin. He does “trendspotting.” It’s a shame that he only has three cameos on the show, but due to lskatzdotcom’s popularity, maybe he’ll have to make another appearance due to public pressure.

My favorite Demetri quote is about MySpace:

Well Jon, the only bad side is that it is full of sexual predators… the good news is that it is full of sexual prey.

Johari

This is one of those stupid tests to see how well you know me, etc.  I picked like twice as many things as it told me I could pick, so it can’t be all too accurate if I was cut short.

Hold onto your seats

Jeff is actually broadcasting tomorrow night at 2 until 3:30. Read the instructions on the previous post on how to listen to him.

He warns us, however, that he is only playing music that the studio gives him, and eventually he will be able to play his own.

Superbowl

Superbowl XL will be remembered as the Superbowl where Lee remembered the teams that were playing and one of the quarterbacks’ names before the game started.

I had an excellent time over at John’s again (who doesn’t have a good time there?).

Angry Blanket Guy

So we were in Target buying some random things and returning some random things (not in that order).

At the checkout line, my mom and I were finishing our purchase, there was a guy behind us, and then Lev was behind him buying some things.  When we finished, my mom turned and saw that the guy behind us was buying a blanket.  My mom, being the very nice and cute person that she is, felt his blanket and said something like, “This is really nice.  I wish I had something this nice,” and she gave a big smile.

I looked over and saw he wasn’t smiling.  My mom saw that he wasn’t smiling.

We gave him five more seconds.  We looked at him smiling.  He looked back unsmiling.  No words were spoken.
Finally, he won the showdown, and I wrapped my arm around her shoulders and walked away, waiting for Lev to hurry up so that we could escape from the angry blanket guy.

I shouldn’t have to repeat myself so much

First off, click this link and you will be laughing for hours: http://www.thesuperficial.com/archives/2006/01/26/david_hasselhoff_is_hooked_on.html

Secondly, I did in fact get virtually fired. I will be told if they need any more work, but the program that the other man made is being used, and that man is using it.  Not me.  Backtracking: as I finished creating the program to do my job, the company paid someone else to do it too, and it turns out that that man’s program is better than mine.  Thus, the reason I was working there was invalidated.  This is funny because I was ready to quit today.  I mean, I had the resignation letter in my hand.
Of course, I’d be an idiot if I didn’t start searching the day that I learned about this competing programmer.  I have a few options lined up, the best option being a web master at GA Tech for my former adviser. However, this position is not available to me just yet and so I am forced to look elsewhere for now.

Lastly, you can still contact me if you have been trying to reach Pearl recently and have not been able to do so.
